We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This role plays a critical part in ensuring our food products comply with regulations across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for conducting compliance assessments of food products against ANZ regulations, including raw material, ingredient, and finished product specifications.

  • Conduct comprehensive compliance assessments of food products against ANZ regulations.
  • Develop Product Label Specifications via the PEP specification system in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with local R&D teams to support compliance assessment for innovations and import/export.
  • Provide regulatory advice to support product/packaging claims and regulatory approval for advertising materials.
  • Identify information gaps and work with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary information for regulatory compliance and final approval.

You will also be responsible for tracking regulatory developments, assessing their impacts, and implementing new or revised regulatory guidelines and protocols.

We require you to inform key stakeholders of upcoming regulatory changes and participate in regional/sector RA meetings as required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Food Science/Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Regulatory knowledge of Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
  • 3-5 years' experience in the food/beverage industry.
  • Experience in product development, food safety/quality, or regulatory affairs.
  • Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and time-management skills.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English.
