Clinical Health Specialist

The Canning Thoracic Institute is seeking a skilled Transplant Care Specialist to join our Lung Transplant Team. This individual will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to manage pre and post-transplant care for patients in our Oncology DREAM Program.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations.
- Provide direct clinical care to patients, including prescribing medications, ordering laboratory tests, and interpreting results.
- Evaluate patients to determine their need for further healthcare and provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families.
Requirements
- Masters degree from an accredited school/college of nursing or physician assistant program.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the state of Illinois.
- Privileged and credentialed through the NMH Medical Staff Office.
- Oncology experience preferred.
