The Role

You will be essential in helping us achieve our goals by elevating the experience for potential foster carers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide recruitment and retention services for prospective caregivers
  • Caregiver reward and recognition

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Social Work / Psychology or a similar discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, assessing and training foster carers
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of principles and challenges in supporting vulnerable children and families
  • Knowledge and experience of the child protection and out-of-home care system
  • Understanding of cultural contexts and unique needs of Aboriginal children and young people
  • Knowledge of issues impacting the community services sector
  • Experience delivering training and development programs
  • Ability to provide clear, concise and accurate information to prospective carers and personnel
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and interpersonal abilities
