Commercial Legal Expert Sought

A national organisation is looking for a skilled Senior Legal Counsel to provide legal support across core operations and head office functions.

About the Role:
  • Provide strategic legal advice on commercial contracts, tenders, projects and operational matters
  • Offer guidance on corporate governance and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Support the coordination of equity incentive plans and interact with external providers
  • Contribute to legal training and compliance programs, including data protection and policy development
  • Collaborate with senior executives and general managers to ensure alignment between legal input and business strategy
Requirements:
  • 8–12 years' experience in corporate or commercial law post-admission
  • Strong understanding of company law, governance and regulatory compliance
  • In-house legal experience preferred, or demonstrated desire to transition from private practice to a commercially focused role
  • Ability to manage diverse responsibilities and partner with non-legal stakeholders effectively
  • Practical, flexible and resilient individual with strong communication and prioritisation skills
Key Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial contract negotiation and review
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
