About Our Team

We facilitate domestic and international travel for ADF personnel, including training, courses, leave, duty, and discharge. We also support new recruits, long-term postings, and official international travel.

Our teams are located in Townsville, Canberra, and Brisbane, providing level 2 support to Defence personnel by responding to travel-related queries escalated by the Defence Service Centre and Customer Service Centres.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership
  • Manage and lead a team in a process-driven environment
  • Supervise staff, allocate workloads, and monitor priorities
Quality Assurance
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on operational outputs
  • Provide coaching and feedback in a timely manner
Development and Innovation
  • Catch, develop, and mentor direct reports
  • Support training opportunities aligned with individual PFADs
  • Contribute to innovation and business deliverables
Customer Engagement
  • Instil One Defence Leadership Behaviours and a "One Defence Travel Services Team" approach
What We're Looking For
  1. A customer-centric approach to service delivery
  2. An understanding of Whole of Australian Government and Defence travel policy
  3. Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  4. The ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience coordinating, managing, and leading a team
  • Excellent customer and stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience coaching and developing team members for success
