Senior Manager Job Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our penetration testing projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and overseeing projects to uncover security vulnerabilities in clients' IT systems.

You will work closely with clients to identify and report on identified vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for their remediation. Your expertise will be invaluable in guiding and mentoring other team members, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their roles.

As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality services to our clients. This includes conducting network and host layer penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and firewall reviews, as well as source code reviews using manual and automated tools.

You will also be involved in Red Teaming, targeting technical, physical, and human layers of an organization's security controls. Your strong programming experience and understanding of IaaS environments will be essential in developing scripts or code to automate testing and develop bespoke attacks.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical business clients. You will also have a strong track record of writing reports and proposals, including the ability to discuss findings from a risk perspective with clear remediation advice specific to the client's environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and oversee penetration testing projects to uncover security vulnerabilities in clients' IT systems.
  • Conduct network and host layer penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and firewall reviews.
  • Source code reviews using manual and automated tools.
  • Red Teaming, targeting technical, physical, and human layers of an organization's security controls.
  • Develop scripts or code to automate testing and develop bespoke attacks.
  • Write reports and proposals, including discussing findings from a risk perspective with clear remediation advice specific to the client's environment.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current OSCP or CREST Certified Tester (CCT) in either Infrastructure or Web Applications or similar certification.
  • Experience in Red Team engagements.
  • With a capability in line with the CORIE framework or similar (e.g. CBEST, TIBER).
  • Experience in working with applications that perform a wide range of business functions - ideally across multiple industries.
  • Ability to understand and assess applications from both a technical and business function perspective.
  • Good experience in performing web application penetration testing and development of supporting business and technical-level reporting.
  • Innovative and analytical in your approach to performing penetration testing, particularly of novel devices and environments.
  • Capable of working to strict deadlines and prioritizing work appropriately.
  • The ability to develop scripts or code to automate testing and develop bespoke attacks.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical business clients.
  • Excellent written skills with demonstrated ability to write reports and proposals.
