Cyber Security Specialist Role

The role of the Cyber Security Specialist involves providing expert ICT security advice and assistance to drive strategic decision-making. This position requires a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement effective security controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver policy and project advice and research on ICT security matters
  • Implement management, technical, governance and administrative services to establish and maintain security controls and management strategies
  • Support or lead the delivery of flexible, quality service to enhance customer experience
  • Work under the guidance of senior staff to deliver results

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in ICT security, including risk management, vulnerability assessment and mitigation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make ethical, evidence-based decisions using sound judgement
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
