Family Reunification Specialist

The Nyanya Munjindei Family Connection Practitioner will work closely with children, young people, families, elders, community and stakeholders to increase family safety, support and reunification options.
Key Responsibilities:- Practice Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family-Led Decision Making (ATSIFLDM) that honours the family's voice, right to self-determinations and safe connection to family, community and culture.
- Case management and care coordination will be essential in this role.
- Work in partnership with Child Safety is crucial for successful outcomes.
- Assessments around children and family needs, risk and safety will be a key responsibility.
- All administrative and compliance tasks related to the role will need to be managed efficiently.
- A Certificate IV/Diploma/Bachelor in Community Services or related field is required.
- Case management experience of 3+ years is preferred.
- Knowledge of QLD Child Protection ACT 1999 or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe is necessary.
- Natural advocacy skills, promoting cultural understanding, human rights and self-determination are essential.
- A valid Blue Card, Drivers' Licence and Police Check are mandatory.
