Artistic Collaboration and Community Development Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Artistic Collaboration and Community Development Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our First Nations arts space, leading the delivery of artist development programs, exhibitions, and events.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our community, working closely with local artists, stakeholders, and partners. You will be responsible for managing the centre's operations, budget, and strategy, as well as coordinating artist payments, contracts, and day-to-day administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement artist development programs, exhibitions, and events that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with local artists, stakeholders, and partners to build strong relationships and foster a sense of community.
  • Manage the centre's operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and human resources.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to retail staff to ensure an excellent visitor experience.
  • Oversee artist studios, exhibitions, sales, and merchandise development.
  • Foster partnerships with galleries, institutions, and community organizations to expand our reach and impact.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the arts industry.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • A passion for First Nations culture and community development.
What We Offer

  • A base salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
