About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse Manager to join our team at Epworth Geelong. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our 30-bed Orthopaedic inpatient unit, providing exceptional care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficient unit operations.
  • Patient Care: Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, focusing on patient flow, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive and supportive team culture, promoting professional growth and development among nursing staff.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4 years of orthopaedic or acute surgical experience, with a strong background in leadership and management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Education: Post-graduate certificate in Orthopaedic Nursing and/or Management (desirable).
  • Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
