  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain asset registers.
  • Manage tax obligations, including the preparation and reporting for FBT, GST, and monthly BAS.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely provision of documentation and resolution of management letter points.
  • Support treasury management, including daily bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and budgeted cash flow management.

  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to prepare balance sheet-related budgets.
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts.
  • Regularly report on function performance, KPIs, and business metrics to the Head of Finance.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal policies.
  • Maintain strong governance over financial processes, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of financial policies.
", "Project & Process Improvement": "
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting processes and systems.
  • Lead department projects to ensure delivery within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
  • Regularly review business processes to identify efficiencies and implement improvements.
", "Leadership & People Management": "
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing External Reporting team.
  • Provide coaching and performance management to direct reports.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, ensuring open access to management and promoting professional development.
", "Stakeholder & Relationship Management": "
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact for financial reporting matters across the organisation.

  • CA/CPA qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Experience in developing strong working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
