Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating the recruitment and onboarding of individuals with disabilities into the organization.
- Assessing the skills and requirements of individuals with disabilities to identify appropriate employment opportunities.
- Partnering with Job Access Providers and Disability Employment Service Providers to source and recruit qualified candidates.
- Supporting and implementing reasonable adjustments to recruitment processes, including applicant screening, assessments, and interviews.
- Coaching and guiding individuals with disabilities and leaders in managing and leading diverse teams.
- Creating and delivering training programs focused on diversity awareness and inclusion, addressing myths, stereotypes, and biases.
- Collaborating with leaders to identify and implement reasonable workplace accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
- Designing and executing initiatives and programs that promote inclusion and engagement throughout the organization.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of under-represented groups, working to dismantle barriers to employment and promote equal opportunities.
- Monitoring and analyzing employment participation rates of individuals with disabilities, utilizing data and feedback to enhance DE&I initiatives.
Candidate Profile
You are a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion, possessing excellent communication skills and a profound understanding of the impacts of disability and necessary accommodations. Your approach is characterized by empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders. You are proactive and adept at developing and implementing DE&I initiatives, with a collaborative mindset to work effectively with various teams and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- A commitment to serving the community and working with individuals with additional needs.
- Experience in executing successful practices and initiatives that support the employment of individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with community outreach services, vocational rehabilitation programs, and disability employment services.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and sensitivity in engaging with diverse individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships.
- Experience in job design, placement, or vocational assessment is highly regarded.
- Exposure to a contact center or service-oriented industry is advantageous.
