About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Communications Principal to join our Direct Employee Communication team within Retail Insurance Australia.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering communication strategies that drive divisional performance, improve employee engagement, and strengthen connections to IAG's purpose, strategy, values, and behaviours.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with Group Strategy
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to build strong relationships and drive business outcomes
  • Lead large-scale projects across IAG and Direct Insurance Australia, leveraging your expertise in strategic communications
  • Coach and develop leaders to deliver results, and influence executives to drive business impact
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the external environment and translate them into internal communications that drive business outcomes

About You

  • Extensive experience in corporate communications, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels to drive business outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in coaching and developing leaders to deliver results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts
  • Degree qualifications in Communications or a related field
  • Experience working in a large, complex, customer-facing, highly regulated company
