Account Manager Job Description

Our Account Managers are responsible for:

  • Describing insurable risk to clients and designing appropriate insurance solutions
  • Maintaining relationships with underwriting partners
  • Managing sales performance, budgets, and debtors
  • Providing mentoring and coaching to junior employees
  • Driving new business development
  • Representing the organisation as a brand ambassador to increase awareness of opportunities within the local business market

This is a great opportunity to work with corporate clients, ideally with exposure to mid to large accounts.

We seek a sales-oriented individual with strong account management experience and technical ability gained within general commercial insurance.

Key requirements include:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing corporate clients
  • Sales oriented with the ability to build a long-term pipeline to support new business growth
  • Strong account management experience and technical ability gained within general commercial insurance
  • A proven track record of delivering both financial and operational results
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills complemented by a driven, passionate and professional disposition
  • The ability to provide informed risk advice and bespoke insurance solutions with a client-first mindset
