Support Specialist
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional to provide non-judgmental support to individuals in distress.
About the Role:
- Draw on your lived experience of suicide crisis or mental health challenges to help others feel safe and supported.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team that values kindness, empathy, and peer-led perspectives.
- Continue to learn and grow through regular supervision, training, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide calm and empathetic support in times of crisis.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Lived experience of a suicidal crisis or significant mental health challenge.
- Intentional Peer Support (IPS) and Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work qualifications or commitment to completing these within 18 months.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
