Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional to provide non-judgmental support to individuals in distress.

About the Role:

  • Draw on your lived experience of suicide crisis or mental health challenges to help others feel safe and supported.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team that values kindness, empathy, and peer-led perspectives.
  • Continue to learn and grow through regular supervision, training, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide calm and empathetic support in times of crisis.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Lived experience of a suicidal crisis or significant mental health challenge.
  • Intentional Peer Support (IPS) and Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work qualifications or commitment to completing these within 18 months.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
