We are seeking a skilled and compassionate social worker to join our dynamic team at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide comprehensive assessments, crisis management, and brief interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient and their support network.
The successful candidate will have a well-developed understanding of the psychosocial issues that arise for patients and their families during chronic and acute illness and trauma. They will also have demonstrated experience in providing psychosocial assessment and crisis management within person-centered, trauma-informed, and brief intervention models.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will have opportunities for professional development, service development, and collaboration with senior managers and colleagues.
The position requires a tertiary qualification in Social Work, eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), and current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen.

This position is part of the Inpatient Social Work team based at Wyong Hospital, providing a professional social work service to patients and their families/carers to ensure optimal health outcomes consistent with CCLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic team environment, focusing on assessment, crisis and brief intervention, counseling, and case planning to assist patients/families/carers to deal with the emotional impact of illness, facilitate smooth transitions through the hospital system, and access appropriate community services.
