Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

  • This is a key position in our organisation, responsible for developing and maintaining procurement dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports as well as interpret the data and trends to provide insights to support procurement decision making.
    1. Analyse inventory levels and supply trends to identify opportunities to optimise inventory management.
    2. Work with the Category Manager to review slow moving and obsolete stock and implement actions to reduce waste.
    3. Conduct root cause analysis of stock outs and work with Buyers to review and implement corrective actions.
    4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vendors, items and inventory replenishment.
    5. Evaluate supplier price changes and ensure pricing remains accurate and current within our ERP system.
    6. Identify potential products that could be sourced from overseas suppliers, taking into account stock turns, MOQs and containerisation.
    1. A minimum 2 years' experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, procurement or a related field.
    2. Proven ability to analyse large data sets within complex organisations and interpret results to provide valuable insights.
    3. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    4. Highly developed Excel skills and experience with business analytics platforms such as Phocas or Power BI.
    5. Prior experience working with SAP would be highly regarded.
    6. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation and organisational skills.
    7. Exceptional communication and time management skills with strong business acumen.

The ideal candidate will be commercially astute and data-driven, with a passion for driving business outcomes through effective procurement practices.
