Job Title:

Land Rights - Climate & Environment Lawyer

We are seeking experienced lawyers to specialise in climate & environment work.

You will have significant litigation experience and practice in areas of climate and/or environment litigation.

Experience in planning and environment law, energy & resources, environmental regulation, land contamination, First Nations work and / or class actions is an advantage.

About the Role:

Using your deep knowledge of climate and environment litigation, you will identify key opportunities for impact and drive strategy for future work, maximising environmental outcomes.

Developing strategic relationships with other bodies to advance climate and environment goals is essential.

Contributing to the preparation and conduct of existing matters, collaborating with a team of lawyers and supervisors is also required.

  • Assess novel areas of work and develop strategies to partner with other bodies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of developments in the environment and climate space to drive strategy.

Providing clear, practical and concise legal and strategic advice is crucial for this role.

Requirements:

Significant litigation experience in climate and/or environment litigation.

Experience advising a range of clients, including individuals, corporates and advocacy organisations is an advantage.
