The Wilderness Society is dedicated to a future where nature and our climate thrive due to responsible stewardship.

Be part of the team that secured significant wins for Australian wilderness and nature, including stopping the damming of the Franklin River, keeping big oil out of the Great Australian Bight, or defending special forests across the continent.

We are seeking individuals committed to contributing their energy, ideas, and skills towards protecting, promoting, and restoring wilderness for future generations.

The Committee of Management (CoM) governs The Wilderness Society Victoria, setting strategic direction, managing finances, overseeing the Campaigns Manager, and participating in national governance and strategy.

Applicants should have a strong commitment to our vision and activities, as well as excellent interpersonal and networking skills.

We welcome individuals with skills and experience in:

• Governance;
• Finance;
• Campaigning and Organising;

The time commitment varies throughout the year but is approximately 5-10 hours a month, including:

• Reading and contributing to reports, policies, and papers;
• Attending and actively participating in Committee meetings and the AGM;
• Supporting The Wilderness Society and its activities publicly and professionally.
