Job OverviewThis exciting opportunity is for an experienced Industrial Electrician or Electrical Supervisor with a trades background to oversee the electrical systems and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
The successful candidate will supervise a team of electricians, manage electrical contractors, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and excellent problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead a team of electricians in performing maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards, including conducting safety inspections and implementing safety measures.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and issues.
- A current A-grade electrical license and Electrical qualification (Cert 4).
- 3-5 years of industrial electrician experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of PLC, industrial electronics, and SCADA systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising a team of electricians, and the ability to mentor and develop team members.
