Mental health professionals are in high demand, and this role offers a unique chance to make a difference in the lives of North Yorkshire, York, and Selby residents.

The job involves providing initial telephone support to individuals experiencing mental health distress and crisis as part of the national implementation of NHS 111 Mental Health. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to the development of vital mental health services.

This role requires working 24 hour shifts, including nights and weekends, but enhancements are paid for unsocial hours. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working 1:1 with service users with complex needs and be aware of health and social care systems.

  • Proven track record of working with vulnerable individuals or groups
  • Understanding of local health and social care systems
  • Awareness of national initiatives and resources supporting mental health
  • Knowledge of recovery principles and stigma reduction strategies
