Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Coordinator to lead and inspire one of our multidisciplinary Maintenance teams at Vales Point Power Station. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical fitting or boilermaking and experience in leading teams to successfully meet business needs.

The successful candidate will oversee and guide the team to manage daily maintenance tasks, including routine and defect maintenance, ensuring safe and efficient plant operation while adhering to safety, quality, environmental, and financial standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and guide the team to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
  • Safety Management: Identify and address issues and risks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Guide and mentor apprentices and other team members.
  • General Maintenance Activities: Carry out trade-related duties such as preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, and installations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualified Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker with an in-depth knowledge of modern power stations or other heavy industry.
  • Leadership qualifications to a Certificate level.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team to successfully meet business needs.
