Operations Crew Member

We are seeking a skilled Operations Crew Member to support our construction team in delivering vital infrastructure for the community. As an Operations Crew Member, you will report to the Team Leader Construction and be responsible for assisting with the construction and maintenance of road and transport infrastructure.

This role involves undertaking manual labouring tasks, operating small tools and machinery, and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant outcomes for the community.

You will take pride in contributing to projects that have a lasting impact, working outdoors in a dynamic environment where every day brings something different.

Your work will directly support the safety, accessibility, and liveability of our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction and maintenance of road and transport infrastructure.
  • Undertake manual labouring tasks, operate small tools and machinery.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant outcomes.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage) operating of small handheld tools, equipment, and machinery relevant to the field.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
  • Hold and maintain C Class Driver's Licence, Traffic Control Combo, and WHS Induction Card with a willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.
