Overview

Working for a tier one rail systems contractor, two opportunities for Rail OHW Project Engineers are available on 12-month contracts to assist in the delivery of the overhead wiring packages on the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport project in South West Sydney.

An immediate start is available. Candidates can be paid through their own ABN or PAYG through Randstad. A detailed position description (PD) can be provided upon request.

Candidates must have full Australian work rights. Randstad provides equal employment opportunities and actively encourages applications from any background.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the Principal Contractor to ensure installation, testing and commissioning of OHW systems are carried out on time, to budget, safely, and to the agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors who will perform the OHW installation, ensuring alignment with project schedules and safety requirements.
  • Monitor progress, manage interfaces between disciplines, and support project delivery to meet milestones.
Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of OHW (overhead catenary) experience on rail projects.
  • Experience with overhead wiring projects in a major rail environment preferred.
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to a 12-month contract.
  • Full Australian work rights.
