The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Investigation Specialist - Fraud & Investigations to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Assessment Hub, you will be responsible for building and implementing a robust compliance, intelligence, and investigative framework to ensure effective corporate fraud identification and prevention strategies are in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Directly manage a team of one analyst, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
  • Fraud Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal fraud strategy, including predictive analytics and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Investigation and Resolution: Lead the investigation of suspected internal fraud cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution of claims.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of internal fraud risks and best practices across the organization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal fraud detection and prevention.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a strong understanding of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the internal fraud program.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments to share intelligence and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Operational Procedures: Support development and review of all Operating Procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with current regulatory obligations, standards, and Auto & General guidelines.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing a team in a fraud investigation or compliance environment.
  • Fraud Risk Management: Strong understanding of internal fraud risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Predictive Analytics: Expertise in developing and implementing predictive analytics and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong stakeholder engagement, team, and management skills.
  • Education and Experience: 3+ years of experience working within a similar position. A background in a fraud environment is desirable. Police investigative or intelligence experience will be favourable. A degree in investigations, intelligence, or data analysis would be preferable. Knowledge of HR policies and processes an advantage.
