**General Surgery Opportunity**

Liverpool Hospital is recruiting for a junior doctor to complement and enhance the current General Surgery department.

The position will provide effective surgical services to patients under supervision within SWSLHD in complex clinical environments whilst facilitating trainee's preparation for a career in surgery.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing timely and effective medical services to patients, under supervision, within SWSLHD while developing expertise in medical practice in a complex clinical environment.
- Communicating effectively with patients, their families and nursing, allied health and medical professionals.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- At least three years' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
- Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
- Demonstrated operative experience in General Surgery. Working towards sitting Part 1 examination.
- Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in educating undergraduate medical and allied health professionals
