Job Overview

This is an unaccredited surgical trainee position at a leading tertiary hospital in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective clinical management of surgical patients under appropriate supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice in a complex clinical environment.

About the Role

  • Deliver high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Develop clinical skills and judgment through hands-on experience
  • Contribute to the delivery of safe and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Minimum 3 years postgraduate experience, including 6 months recent experience in general surgery, vascular, ENT, and/or Urology
  • Completion or minimum registration of EMST, ATLS, and GSSE
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, excellent clinical skills, judgement, and expertise
  • Effective teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills within a multidisciplinary clinical care team
  • Evidence of continued professional development towards becoming a Surgical Education Trainee
