We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join our team in a mailroom and administrative capacity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including mail sorting, reception duties, file creation and retrieval, data entry and administration, handling phone and email enquiries, and providing ad hoc support as required.
Some moderate to heavy lifting may be involved, as well as mail and courier pickups and deliveries to various points in multiple sites. Preparation of mailbags for internal and interstate offices, courier bookings and lodgements with various courier companies, and maintenance of office equipment and supplies will also be key responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative, time management and organisational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure. Exceptional presentation and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well within or lead a team.
Main Responsibilities
- Mail sorting and distribution
- Reception duties, including answering phones and responding to emails
- File creation and retrieval, including data entry and administration
- Handling phone and email enquiries
- Providing ad hoc support as required
- Maintenance of office equipment and supplies
Requirements
- Administrative experience, preferably in a mailroom or reception environment
- Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work well within or lead a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
