About the Opportunity:

Safety is a core principle that underpins all aspects of our work.

The HSE Professional will embed the project's fundamental Health, Safety, Environment and Rail Safety values to assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the health, safety, environment and rail safety program.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a safety culture during mobilization and maintenance phases
  • Implementing and monitoring compliance with health, safety, environment and rail safety systems and procedures
  • Supporting the development, reviewing and implementing of health, safety, environment and rail safety management plans
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing activity method statements
  • Providing day-to-day health, safety, environment and rail safety support to internal stakeholders
  • Analyzing safety problems and recommending solutions
  • Conducting routine health, safety, environment and rail safety inspections and analyzing work areas
  • Investigating site accidents and incidents
  • Supporting subcontractor engagement and reviewing subcontractor safety systems
  • Preparing and maintaining reports and documentation
  • Maintaining knowledge of applicable rules and regulations
  • Performing all duties in accordance with policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Environmental Management
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, quality, environment, project management or other associated disciplines
  • Safety Lead Auditor Qualification and Internal Environmental Auditor Qualification
  • Train Track Safety Awareness
  • 3+ years experience in construction/maintenance health, safety, environment and rail safety management
  • Experience in health, safety, environment and rail safety management techniques and tools
