Counsellor Role at Rimmer and Cameron Houses
About the PositionThis permanent, full-time position involves working 72 hours bi-weekly.
The ideal candidate will be a mature and conscientious individual with creative, flexible, and initiative skills to maximize resident integration into the community.
- Post-secondary education in social services from a recognized institution or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience in Community Residential Services and Programming for intellectually delayed persons, with knowledge and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
- A successfully completed Pharmacology course from a recognized institution or equivalent.
Key qualifications include:
- Tact, diplomacy, and initiative suitable for dealing with management positions, co-workers, and volunteers.
- Training in First Aid, CPR, and CPI, as well as other delegated acts pertinent to individual needs.
