We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead our canteen and bar operations at a local sports club. This is not just a management position, it's an opportunity to be a key part of a wider team dedicated to delivering life-enriching services to people with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing teams, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of a food and beverage outlet. They will also possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a passion for hospitality.

This role involves managing staff, overseeing inventory and finances, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and promoting the venue through social media and other channels. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and schedule a great team to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Inventory & Financials: Manage stock levels, handle cash registers and reconciliation, and oversee budgets to ensure profitability.
  • Operations: Ensure the canteen and bar are clean, well-maintained, and comply with all relevant health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • Promotions: Actively promote the venue through social media, to attract and retain customers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with directors and administrators to leverage key opportunities and events.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: In a management or supervisory role within a bar or food service environment.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: To inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: To resolve conflicts and de-escalate tense situations.
  • A Strong Understanding of Financial Management: Including budgeting and cost control.
  • Ability to Work Independently: While contributing to a team environment.
