Food Service Operations Manager

This role offers an opportunity to lead the daily operations at a local sports club, working independently while contributing to a team environment.

You will be responsible for managing the canteen and bar with a high degree of autonomy.

As the manager, you'll provide essential leadership and operational oversight, ensuring the canteen and bar run smoothly and efficiently. This includes:

  • Staff Management: Hiring, training, and scheduling a great team to provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Inventory & Financials: Managing stock levels, handling cash registers and reconciliation, and overseeing expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Operations: Ensuring the canteen and bar are clean, well-maintained, and compliant with all relevant health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • Promotions: Actively promoting the venue through various channels to attract and retain customers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaising with senior management and administrators to leverage key opportunities and events.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within a food service or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team, driving performance and results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and de-escalate tense situations.
  • A strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and expense tracking.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
