We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to join our finance and administrative team.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping position, with a comprehensive understanding of financial information including accounts receivable, payable & inventories.
Main responsibilities include:
- Managing all functions relating to accounts payable, including supplier onboarding, receiving, coding, processing invoices to ensure efficient payment of accounts;
- Managing all functions relating to accounts receivable, including checking and sending invoices, reconciling debtor accounts and monitoring overdue invoices;
- Reconciling daily takings and preparation of cash/cheque deposits;
- Preparing for monthly stock take and processing of stock transfers;
- End of month preparation including prepayments, accruals and float checks;
- Processing corporate credit cards and expense claims for employees;
- Carrying out administrative tasks such as monitoring stationery supplies, collecting and distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail;
- Coordinating the local community funding program.
This is a permanent part-time role, with a minimum of 24 hours per week. The role is expected to be worked over 3 to 5 days per week, with some flexibility required to meet end-of-month deadlines.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping position;
- A comprehensive understanding of financial information including accounts receivable, payable & inventories;
- Strong analytical, numeracy and literacy skills;
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment;
- Attention to detail and ability to resolve problems;
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet business requirements.
