Lead Anaesthetic Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced anaesthetic support specialist to join our clinical team in Sydney.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services in various clinical settings, including the Interventional Suite, Labour ward, and Radiology Department.

You will work closely with senior medical staff to ensure that your responsibilities are aligned with your clinical experience and meet the standards outlined by ANZCA guidelines.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the provision of anaesthetic services in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in Preadmission Clinics, Acute Pain Service, and Clinical Emergency Response Service (CERs).
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and registration with AHPRA.
  • At least two years of clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner, with a focus on anaesthetics or critical care.
  • Experience working in complex clinical environments, with a demonstrated ability to work independently under supervision.
  • A strong commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
