Job Title: Anaesthetics Trainee

The position offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in anaesthetic services, working closely with senior medical staff.

About the Role:
  • This is an unaccredited trainee role where you will assist in the provision of anaesthetic services in the Interventional Suite, Labour ward and Radiology Department.
  • You will participate in Preadmission Clinics, Acute Pain Service and Clinical Emergency Response Service CERs under close supervision.
Requirements:
  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA are mandatory.
  • Applicants should have demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for at least two years with progress towards career goals in Anaesthetics or Critical Care.
  • A minimum one year experience in Anaesthetics is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate clinical competency and ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management, along with sound working knowledge of legal and ethical obligations governing medical practice, is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting are also necessary.
