Chef Job Opportunity

The role of a Chef involves overseeing the kitchen by managing food preparation team members, deciding on dishes to serve, and adjusting orders based on guests' requests. You will be involved in cooking specialty dishes, choosing ingredients, and designing menus according to seasonal food availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage kitchen staff and ensure proper handling of food, equipment, and utensils.
  • Supervise and participate in meal service, ensuring that guest orders are prepared according to their preferences.
  • Implement food safety best practices and train kitchen staff on these standards.
  • Select choice ingredients for optimal flavor.
  • Develop new specialties and menus that attract diners.
  • Lead the kitchen team by coaching Sous Chefs and other staff members for optimal performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have knowledge of food-related curriculum and training techniques. You should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, as part of a team, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

A relevant diploma or equivalent qualification is required, along with at least one year of relevant work experience. Alternatively, three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.

Benefits

This role offers an annual salary of $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience.
