Job Overview

A multifaceted role awaits an experienced professional in mental health, where the focus is on delivering comprehensive psychological services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning.
  • Support ADF Members with their initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need.
  • Case formulation and treatment planning.
  • Programmatic treatment interventions.
  • Care coordination.
  • Group psycho-education.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with a relevant regulatory body.
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence-based treatments.
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
  • Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice desirable.
Requirements & Additional Information
  • Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
  • Does not require enlistment in the Defence Force.
