Mental Health Specialist

Join a multidisciplinary team and make a positive impact on the mental health needs of military members.
This role involves working in a health centre setting, providing comprehensive mental health assessments and delivering evidence-based treatment interventions.
Responsibilities- Manage crisis presentations, conduct risk assessments, and develop risk management plans.
- Support ADF Members with their initial intake and assessment, accommodating presenting needs.
- Develop case formulations and treatment plans.
- Deliver programmatic treatment interventions.
- Care coordinate services.
- Provide group psycho-education.
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience in mental health, undertaking comprehensive assessments and delivering Focussed Psychological Strategies.
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development activities.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
- Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy (desirable).
- Australian citizenship to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
- As a civilian on-base, your job remains here even if Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
