Job Summary :
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Tax Senior to join our Australian tax compliance team. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Main Responsibilities :
- Australian Compliance
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and other entities (excluding corporate)
- Review individual tax returns prepared for clients including PAYG employees, retirees, property investors, and small business owners
- Ensure timely lodgement of returns in accordance with ATO deadlines and compliance standards
- Delivery of professional and confident communications with clients and stakeholders
- Liaise with the ATO as needed for compliance matters and lodgement issues
Requirements :
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Australian tax compliance
- Strong working knowledge of ATO lodgement processes and key filing dates
- Proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated experience with a diverse client base, including individuals and small businesses
