About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Project Manager to join our team at The University of Queensland. As a key member of our National Imaging Facility, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to project teams to ensure effective project governance and reporting.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform project planning and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior academic and professional staff, external consultants, and industry partners.
  • Monitor and report on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as needed.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in managing medium to large projects within complex organisational contexts. You will possess excellent liaison and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships within various university departments and the broader community.

You will also have strong proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to develop and implement effective project monitoring and evaluation systems. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure, delivering high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
