Job Title

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking a Medical Practitioner for a challenging role within the Neurosurgery Department at Royal Hobart Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Care of patients in the wards including daily ward rounds and accurate recording of drugs and treatment.
  • Attend Specialist and Registrar ward rounds and record all decisions made in the medical history.
  • Timely responses to calls by members of the patient's care team and ensure that consultations occur when requested.
  • Interact with families or carers of hospital patients, ensuring comprehensive and contemporaneous recording in the medical record.
  • Undertake procedures as required, checking and signing result sheets for investigations.

Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure registration/licences remain current and advise the Employer if circumstances change.
