Abzeco is a leading environmental consulting and land management company specializing in flora and fauna survey and monitoring, bushfire management plans, habitat hectare assessments, biodiversity assessment reports, land management plans, offset management plans, ecological management, and restoration, weed mapping, salvage and translocation of rare or threatened flora and fauna species, design and implementation of pest control programs, and expert environmental and conservation planning advice.
The Abzeco team combines the knowledge and training of our botanists, zoologists, ecologists, and GIS technicians with the technical and practical skills of our experienced qualified field crew.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Depot Coordinator to ensure the Sunshine depot infrastructure needs of the business are met, including maintenance of the company fleet and equipment. The successful candidate will develop annual depot management plans and budget, manage vehicle and equipment capacity, and procure new equipment to ensure value for money.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively schedule the maintenance of vehicle and equipment to minimize downtime in the field.
- Perform necessary checks to ensure faulty vehicles and equipment are returned into service, including QuickSpray rigs/hoses/pump, knapsacks, and chainsaws.
- Collaborate with People Leaders to identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Maintain an Up-To-Date chemical register.
- Provide ongoing support in all matters related to safe chemical use, handling, and storage.
- Ensure staff have appropriate knowledge and skills required to work with chemicals.
- At least 3+ years' experience in a Depot Coordinator role or another relevant role.
- Experience and skill to assist in development of Abzeco procedures and policy.
- Experience in providing guidance and training in equipment use and maintenance.
- Ability to show initiative in relation to opportunities for Abzeco.
- Specialist role in the company.
- Experienced in maintenance and operation of tools and equipment common to the industry, such as chainsaw, brush cutter, QuickSpray rigs, diaphragm pumps, hoses, knapsacks, Honda engines.
- Ability to foster a productive and positive team culture.
- Knowledge to ensure all OH&S requirements are adhered to.
