About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Coordinator to join our team at Goodman Fielder Pty Limited. As a key member of our small, tight-knit facility, you will play a critical role in fostering a culture of excellence and maintaining the highest standards of safety, health, environmental sustainability, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer expert advice and technical support to site operations, supply chain depots, and field sales management and personnel to reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, SH&E incidents, and environmental incidents.
  • Lead Quality Management: Continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), Safety Management System (SMS), and Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain SHEQ Plans: Develop and maintain site-specific SHEQ plans and risk registers to mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Drive GMP Awareness: Promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) awareness and adherence across the site to ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Manage Complaints: Investigate and address quality, food safety, and environmental issues, and implement corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify compliance with all relevant food safety, occupational health and safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop Training Programs: Design and deploy mandatory employee training programs for safety and quality to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with all team members to integrate best practices into daily operations and promote a culture of excellence.
About You
  • Proven Experience: Possess proven experience working in a safety or quality role, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills: Be competent in relevant software applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and electronic mail applications.
  • Industry Knowledge: Have in-depth knowledge of workers compensation regulations and food safety standards, OHS &/or Environmental or Quality Auditing.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Time Management: Be proficient in personal time management, project management, and able to work under pressure.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Skilled in investigation, problem-solving, data analysis, and report writing (audit, incident).
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and drive continuous improvement.
  • Growth Mindset: Possess a growth mindset with a passion for delivering results quickly and effectively.
