Estimator - Insurance Building Specialist

Our client, a Master Builders Green Living accredited company, is seeking an experienced and passionate Estimator to join their team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing and analyzing building costs, ensuring our clients receive accurate and fair evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide estimating support to Operations and Major Loss Managers
- Assist with training and mentoring of estimating team members
- Attend site and complete detailed assessments on domestic and commercial buildings, including minor to major losses
- Undertake initial inspections, provide detailed causation reports, and cost estimates using company estimating tools and rate cards
- Oversee Sales/Estimator budget, including planning, forecasting, and timelines
- Liaise closely with loss adjusters and insurers, monitoring approval rates
- Strategic review of wins and losses with senior management
- Manage client expectations, provide periodic updates, and ensure the best customer experience by building strong customer relationships through communication
- Build new and leverage existing relationships with key personnel in the insurance industry
- At least 3 years of experience in Insurance Estimating, including large loss claims
- Strong all-round communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- A commitment to safety with sound knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Experience in negotiation, facilitating, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders
- Trade qualification, such as carpentry, would be highly regarded
