Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and compliant general ledgers and accounting records, adhering to US GAAP and IFRS principles.
  • Oversee revenue and expense recognition for physical export transactions, preparing margin reports in collaboration with traders, schedulers, and risk management teams.
  • Assist with month-end mark-to-market accounting for financial instruments, including foreign exchange hedges.
  • Apply knowledge of foreign currency transactions, including remeasurement and recognition of gains/losses.
  • Support accounting for US export physical trading activities and assist Treasury with weekly cash forecasting.
  • Complete monthly financial and management reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Assist with joint venture accounting, fixed asset register maintenance, and invoicing (intercompany and external).
  • Contribute to royalty calculations, take-or-pay assessments, amortisations, government reporting, and accruals.
  • Support internal and external audit processes and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal control frameworks.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
