Program Coordinator Role

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a skilled Program Coordinator to join their team in Melbourne.

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Open Arms Outreach Provider Program. This includes:

  • Building professional relationships with outreach program providers;
  • Facilitating communications and coordinating activities of the outreach provider program;
  • Providing training and support to outreach program providers;
  • Evaluating performance and ensuring that outreach program providers meet key indicators;
  • Reviewing referrals and advising on suitability;
  • Managing a database of outreach program providers and updating intake allocators and administrative staff on availability;
  • Engaging with complainants to identify concerns and develop options for resolution.

This role requires strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will work under the direction of an Assistant Director and will be required to make decisions, problem-solve, and navigate complex client issues.

To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian citizen and hold relevant qualifications as an AHPRA registered Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse, or have Counsellor qualifications with Level 4 registration from the Australian Counselling Association.
