Specialist Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a dedicated specialist mental health professional to join our multidisciplinary team of health professionals at Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS). Our team provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families.

The importance of early intervention is supported by evidence which suggests that addressing mental health issues in young people is crucial. Our Intensive Mobile Outreach Stream (IMOS) offers treatment for referrals received by our service, working with families in addressing complex issues such as school refusal, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking and eating disorders.

A Day in the Role

No two days will be the same as you work within an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for young people. You will have opportunities for professional development and growth in areas that you are passionate about. We offer clinical education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your Clinical and Leadership skills.

Key Components of the Position
  • Intensive case coordination for a specific caseload of young clients aged up to 18 years
  • Collaborating as a member of the IMOS multidisciplinary team and sharing team responsibilities
  • Assessing and treating young people with mental health problems - working within individual, group, and family contexts in both an intensive outreach and clinic-based capacity
Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving team of clinicians providing outreach treatment to a cohort of young people aged 5- 18 years and their families/Carers presenting with complex mental health and psychosocial difficulties. You will have exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists partnering with experienced clinicians. The **Intensive Mobile Outreach Stream (IMOS)** is a highly supportive, collaborative, and hard-working team where clinicians can develop advanced clinical skills rapidly.
