Youth Wellbeing Specialist for Northern Rivers Community

Lives Lived Well is committed to supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people in the Northern Rivers region.
Our Youth Wellbeing Clinician will work with a clinical caseload of mainly young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander female clients, providing mental health support through a cultural lens. The role involves significant travel, offering outreach services to young Aboriginal people, as well as working with local communities to increase program awareness.
The position pays an estimated $45 per hour, depending on experience, with excellent salary packaging options up to $15,900 per year. We also offer regular clinical supervision, 1:1 and team meetings, a workplace wellness program, and access to social, emotional, and cultural wellbeing online resources.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in caseload management and providing recovery-orientated clinical care. You will also need a background working with young female clients (ages from 8 to 18), delivery of evidence-based interventions in the areas of youth mental health via group or individual counselling, and a good understanding of the issues that are prevalent for young Aboriginal women in today's society.
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or Counselling, Community Services, Human Services, or similar, and have a current, clean Australian Drivers Licence and be eligible for a WWCC (NSW). You will be proactive and dedicated, looking for your next exciting challenge, and have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and capability to present at team meetings and case reviews.
