Tax Accountant/Advisor

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill an 18-month fixed term parental leave cover opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation and experience in providing broad taxation compliance and advisory services.

About the Role

This position requires a mix of compliance, advisory and deal support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support tax managers with preparation and review of tax compliance obligations for a group of companies (income tax, FBT, BAS).
  • Undertake ad-hoc tax technical research and provide tax advice.
  • Prepare tax effect accounting calculations.
  • Assist with preparation of tax technical papers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams for tax compliance processes.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or Taxation and a professional qualification such as CA/CPA.
  • 5 or more years of tax experience, preferably within a Big 4 tax practice or mid-tier tax practice and some level of in-house experience is preferable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
