Business Manager Position

We are seeking a skilled Business Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Ecological Restoration Team. This is a new role, intended to relieve key business administration functions for the General Manager.

This position will be responsible for facilitating the ongoing growth and success of our team by providing exceptional business management support. The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications in business management or a related discipline and 5+ years' experience in an operations/management role.

The successful applicant will possess strong business acumen, with demonstrated ability to oversee daily operations, develop and oversee budgets, optimise pricing strategies and find efficiencies to maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily operations
  • Organising, resourcing and scheduling work allocation across various teams and projects
  • Developing and overseeing budgets
  • Optimising pricing strategies and finding efficiencies to maximise profitability

Additional requirements include:

  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills
  • High level bid and proposal management skills
  • The ability to build successful team dynamics, guide direct reports and mentor junior staff
  • Experience in business development and assisting with securing a pipeline of work
  • Strong organisation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise and effectively manage competing tasks across projects and teams
